The women of St. John’s have been meeting almost every week since November of 2000 to talk, laugh, and most importantly, make afghans for donation. We give our afghans to Project Linus for sick children.
Project Linus is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization with a mission to “provide love, a sense of security, warmth, and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through gifts of new, handmade blankets and afghans, lovingly created by volunteers.”
So far, we have made over 560 afghans.
We don’t just make afghans! We also make hats that we give to chemotherapy patients in the Denver metro area.
